JNHS

- B+ average in all Japanese Classes

- Currently taken or have taken at least Japanese 2

- Overall 3.0 GPA

- Must complete event/hours requirements

- Applications due 9/20 @ 11:59 p.m. 

- No late applications will be accepted.

- Everyone can apply - just answer the questions!

- Anyone can join! 

 

JNHS Hours Requirements

JNHS members are required to complete a 4-hour quota:

- Minor: 0.5 hours

- Tutor: 0.5 or 0.75 hours
- Major: 1 hour
- Social: 1 hour
Example: 2 Minor events + 2 Major events + 1 Social event = 4 hours

Design requirements:

1. Homestead Japanese National Honor Society and 全米日本語優等生協会 on the shirt

2. No more than 3 colors

3. Only an original design on the front of the T-shirt

4. Create the design through the CustomInk website, email to hhsjnhs@gmail.com

Winner gets a free shirt!

Aki Matsuri Festival

Saturday, October 5th @ San Jose Japantown- Major event (1-2 hours)- Help with set-up and clean up- Sign Up on the Aki Matsuri website- Email @JNHS with a picture of you at the event and a short reflection for hours!

 

Yu Ai Kai Volunteering

October 19th @the Buddhist Gym- Help with clean up, serving bento boxes- Major Event (3:00pm to 7:30pm)- Dinner is included- Form due by October 9th @11:59pm

Description: Help prepare mochi

     - 7:30am to 12:30pm 
     - 11:30am to 4:00pm (lunch provided)- Sign up using the QR code on the slides!
